2. Assignment of the educational institution and work plan

2.2. The work plan of the practical training

The work plan is the document that regulates the student’s stay at the educational institution and establishes the mentoring monitoring mechanisms. This document must also reflect the distribution of the 250 hours the student will spend at the educational institution throughout the three phases of the Practicum (observation, accompanied intervention and independent intervention). These hours cannot be compressed and must be distributed throughout the academic year (from November to April).

The work plan must be agreed upon and decided with the educational institution’s mentor, and must be handed over to the university’s Practicum course professor during the first weeks of the practical training. The specific dates for work plan’s submission are established in the virtual classroom at the beginning of each academic year. In the same way, it is the responsibility of the Practicum professor to inform the students and educational institution’s mentor about these deadlines, and to provide a template of the work plan to be completed.

It is very important that students take into account that the educational institution’s mentor will accompany them in their learning process. Therefore, they must show a proactive and cooperative attitude towards the suggestions presented, as long as they align with the learning period that the practical training entails. During their stay at the educational institution, students must also be careful with the relationships they establish with all the people who work there and must show respect to the educational community at all times. It is also necessary for the student to be very careful with the management of the information to which they have access, and to always maintain an ethical and professional attitude.
